Leaning toward spring.
Pandemic winter 2020-21 has been, well, HARD. It has been difficult to be isolated, from family, and estranged from the norms that once guided personal and work lives.
Snow in Connecticut came late winter, and remained, with the grounds giving no sign of the any future bounty well into February. Into the now when this was written.
To look to the open spaces of a life outdoors helped to ground one through this passage of time, though that attention seemed solitary and other-worldly. It helped too, to see the images from Mars, colors of another world.
We just lean toward spring.
